SMT machine nozzle is an important part, Generally, nozzle is used to absorb and attach components through vacuum air pressure. Though nozzle is small part, it does a lot. Now, Yangling Electronics will briefly introduce the function of nozzle.
The nozzle of SMT machine is able to pick up and place components of different shapes and sizes in different ways. When the vacuum pressure is generated, the negative pressure of the nozzle will absorb the components from the feeding system. When the nozzle absorbs the components, the vacuum degree system will determine the success of the suction nozzle absorbing components. The SMT machine will give an alarm when the nozzle fails to pull up due to the component being sideways or thrown.
When nozzle picks up the components and sticks them on the PCB, there are usually two ways to stick them. One is to mount according to the height we entered in advance in the system. When the SMT head of our SMT machine drops to the preset height, the vacuum is released and the components are placed on the pad. Generally, we do not use this method because it is not flexible. Another method is to achieve soft landing under the pressure sensor due to the reaction generated when the nozzle and PCB contact. In this way, the patch is more relaxed and smooth.
