High-Temperature Fluorosilicone Grease Used in New Energy Vehicles and Aerospace
1. Overview
High-temperature fluorosilicone grease is a type of grease made from Perfluoropolyether (PFPE) as the base oil and combined with fluorine-based thickeners such as PTFE. PFPE is a fully fluorinated chain polymer with carbon-fluorine bonds. Due to the high stability of its molecular structure, it has excellent thermal stability and chemical inertness. As a high-performance grease, it is becoming an important solution for industries such as aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, new energy and precision machinery.
2. Advantages of fluorosilicone grease
Temperature resistance parameter: Much higher than that of ordinary silicone grease
Unlike common silicone greases, which generally have an upper temperature resistance limit of about 200°C to 250°C, high-temperature fluorine greases have a wider temperature resistance range: most can operate stably for a long time at around -50°C to +250°C or above, with a short-term peak temperature of over 300° C. They can still maintain stable lubrication performance in specific high-temperature scenarios.
3. Core Features
▪ Extremely wide temperature adaptability
It can stably lubricate between extreme cold and heat, and has extremely low evaporation loss.
▪ Strong chemical inertness
PFPE base oil hardly reacts with most chemical media (acids, bases, solvents, etc.), preventing the decomposition and failure of components.
▪ Low volatility and long service life
Its low vapor pressure and high thermal stability result in minimal evaporation loss in vacuum or high-temperature environments, and its lubrication life far exceeds that of conventional products.
▪ Excellent lubrication and low wear
The combination of PFPE and PTFE forms a stable lubricating film at the friction interface, significantly reducing friction and wear.
▪ Excellent electrical insulation
It has excellent electrical insulation properties and is suitable for lubrication and insulation requirements of electrical equipment.
4. Typical application scenarios
Lubrication of bearings for aero engines and gas turbines
Semiconductor manufacturing equipment (vacuum pumps, valves, etc.)
High-temperature chains, in-furnace transmission bearings
Automobile exhaust system, high-temperature motor lubrication
High-temperature valves and sealing lubrication for chemical equipment
